Ok, the food vacuum bags sealed well and I checked them this morning and the vacuum seems to be holding.

I am still looking for a good bag sealer. I am tired of my chips, cereal and other bags foods going stale. I have the bag clips but they do not keep it fresh long enough. I want a good bag sealer that is going to actually seal up my bags and seal them good. Probably a small handheld or portable one. I am not looking for a vacuum sealer just something to re-seal my chip bags, cereal bags ect. after they are opened. Also for a good price. I am a momma on a tight budget. If anyone can help me out and let me know if they have one that actually works good.

I need a question answered. I have been preparing long term food storage for my family. I use a food saver vacuum seal, oxy absorbers, and mylar bags for all my food. The way I do it now is I stick a strip of thin fiberglass screen inside the bag, to get the food saver to suck the o2 out of it. Will the screen hurt the food at all? Thank you.

I’ve just purchased a vacuum sealer, as I am going on a hike and need to keep all my dehydrated food dry before I need it on the walk, but because all my food is dehydrated (eg. mince beef, fruit, veggies) it is quite sharp and poking holes through my vacuum bags?
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on where I can get stronger bags that are not too bulky? (Using boxes is not an option as it will be too hard to carry with me while hiking)

Note: I have tried putting paper towel, baking paper and also aluminum foil inside the bags before sealing and still holes form from the pressure of sucking the air out.

Short and simple, I have a lot of stories I have hand written on notebook paper and want to preserve them for the long term. I have no intention of typing them on computer. What I want to know is if I vacuum sealed them using something like the food saver, if it would protect them in the long term. If now what would be another route I could take to protect them for the long term?
I have looked into document scanners that specialize in all kinds of documents including hand written ones it’s just they come with a high price tag, 0 and up. Okay that may not seem like a lot but I’m not made of money you know and I try to save every pennie. I am trying to see if there is a cheaper way to do this if not then I’ll just have to buy the special scanner.

Urban Decay is discontinuing the liquid eyeliner in Roach. It’s my favorite, and I already have 2 back-ups, should I get more or would that be a waste since they may go bad in a couple years? I’m aware of expiration dates and such. I plan to vacuum seal the back-ups with my food saver so no oxygen gets to the goods. thanks

I have birds and a rabbit in my room, but I’ve already cleaned them incase it’s them. I have all the rabbit food in a plastic sealed tub and the bird food in the freezer. I vacuum thouroughly every week and spray raid around my bed but I STILL find them crawling around occassionally. Any insight as to how else to get rid of them would be greatly appreciated! Or any pet safe pesticides that would do the trick? Thanks!

Saw this product online, currently using a vacuum sealer for food storage, but keep getting holes in the bags, maybe this is the answer? Any Suggestions as it seems to only be in the US at the moment?
