My kitten eats things that are not food?

I seems to be having a problem with the cats I’ve adopted. I’ve had 6 in the past 7 years. One died of old age, one was eaten by a hawk (it ate several pets in the neighborhood before we animal control carted it off to a sanctuary), my first runt, Mila (whom I found as an abandoned kitten in the snow) had a bronchial problem & died from a sudden massive asthma attack before we could get her into the emergency vet.

I’m afraid my new runt Indie, a very dainty fragile little angel, has that same terrible cough, but she got it much earlier in life, a good 6 year difference. She (& my other 2 cats) have never coughed up a hairball in their entire lives, but Indie’s may be brought on by some of her bad habits.

The vet (& I’m seriously considering getting a new one) says there’s nothing wrong with her. She has expencive wet food twice a day & a grainless cereal that is out all day, yet she is always looking for food & getting into trouble. She steals any meat left out, caught her with a chicken bone once, caught her eating cream cheese off a bagel, carpet lint, toilet paper, cardboard, book pages, styrofoam (which I try to keep vacuumed), romaine lettuce, seaweed crackers, butter, I’m always afraid she’ll eat one of my uncle’s tool bits…he never picks anything up, she even ate one of his cigarette butts once, foil-lined plastic bags, clothing…..she will chew holes into any clothing left on the floor.

She coughs a lot but never throws up. Mila was always throwing up. I don’t know why my mom stuck with our vet when he couldn’t give us any medication for her. But I apparently have no say in whom we visit.
She gets plenty of grass during the afternoon when she sits in the back yard & watches birds with her playmates. I’m always afraid she will try to climb the neighbor’s tree; she’s as dainty as a loaf of bread & not very graceful. the vet says she will not grow much.

Why is there ice in my frozen foods?

I constantly find ice(crystals) in my frozen foods that have been in the fridge for a while,
mostly in frozen food double zipped baggies
Food stored in vacuum sealed storage bags seem not to have this problem.
I try to force as much air as possible out of the storage bags before I seal them.
This also happens although not as often with frozen meals products.
Am I doing something wrong?

My neighbor says she is anorexic?

She is average weight and looks. She always brags that she is "anorexic"
At school during lunch she would be like this when some one would offer her some food because she didnt bring one. "Oh no its ok Ana’s dont eat that!" and people are like whats anas??? She would just say "oh, nothing" and giggle.
Its so annoying!! One day she came to school WITH DUCT TAPE OVER HER MOUTH that had " Bones are beautiful" written on it. I just called her an idiot when I saw her and shes all like "whaaatt?" Well the other day I had to return a mini vacuum that my mom borrowed from this girl’s mom. I saw her eating a HUGE sandwhich with her dad. She noticed my and tried to turn away so I couldnt see it. Then always at school she always is eating her huge dorito bag (EVERY DAY) at recess before lunch. O so I guess what im asking here is whats up with this girl!? and should i say something to her?

Little black bugs in my bed.?

I have 2 guinea pigs in my room, and I clean their cage every Tuesday. I also vacuum under the cage too. I came home one day to find little black bugs crawling on my bed. They are timy and all black. They are not around the cage, but my sister left 2 bags of open bunny food(which is stored in my room) out and I thought maybe it was from that. I freaked out and washed everything on my bed, and vacuumed my whole room as well as lysoled everything. After putting the bed stuff back on I have found 1 bug so far, and i’m wondering how to get rid of them? Oh and my boxers sleep with me too. I know the possiblities could by fleas, bed bugs, or friut flies or nats. The thing is nats and bed bugs are brown and these are all black. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!
I clean the cage every week, and i vacuum the room every week, wash my sheets every two weeks and take a shower daily haha I don’t think its hygiene. Plus, guinea pigs are indoor animals. Thanks for all of your answers! Also the bugs don’t hop they fly.

Should I scold my dog for this?

Whenever my family and I are done eating supper, my dog will start furiously licking up crumbs from the kitchen floor, like a little vacuum cleaner. Disgusting! What the **** is my dog thinking, doing something like that. I feed her the proper amount of food, I checked the little label on the side of her dog food bag and everything. There’s no reason she needs to make her tongue into a germ factory. My dog licks me with that tongue! Probably has shoe scum and rotten cheetos all over it…

What do you think? Do I need to scold my dog when she licks the floor?

what are these bugs in my car?!?!?!?

Hello, i bought my first car last year from a man and woman off Craig’s list who lived in riverside, OH… after getting it home my dad and i realized the bottom of the trunk that held the spare tire was filled completely with water. there were bugs flying in the water and what we thought was maggots. we were completely disgusted and tried calling the people to ask about what it was and they had already changed their numbers the next day…sketchy huh? we got the water cleaned out, and i kept seeing little tiny black bugs all in my car… well summer came and went and winter i seen none of them at all… but since it has gotten warm again they would pop up here and there. i lived in west carrollton ohio, close to dayton ohio and just a week or so ago moved to west milton ohio if that helps any? i have a problem with just throwing clothes bags ect in the backseat so after moving and cleaning out my car, i realized those bugs we thought were fly maggots were these bugs larva? they were crawling all over everything and i about threw up.. these tiny black bugs were crawling all over my shirts, blankets, in my back seat, over everything. they hide anywhere they can.. i sprayed RAID in my trunk because that’s where they are coming from and thousands of them died along with hundreds other bugs in the backseat of my car… i vacuumed out my car and sprayed another can…next day they are all covering the back seat of my car again.. dead. and im not exaggerating "hundreds of them" to describe the bug its tiny…about the size of an earring backing..(that’s the only size comparison i can come up with) they are roundish and long..their larva look like maggots but have stripes on their white bodies. the bugs are just black… they can fly though. i haven’t noticed to see if they hop, but they definitely are not fleas because i used to have animals and i know what fleas are and these aren’t fleas. there were none in winter like i said but now that its warmer they’ve been coming out again. i don’t see how anything can live in my car with as hot as its been up here… 98 degrees in the day and even hotter inside of my car.. i think they are coming from the carpet my friend said he thought they were carpet beetles but i looked up pictures and that’s not what they look like. i have no idea what they eat and are surviving on, because i keep no food in my car unless they are eating crumbs off the ground. they aren’t bed bugs either. it could be a type of beetle perhaps but they dint have any antennae like most beetles do.. you can really even tell where their head starts and ends until you see which direction they’re crawling in.. i don’t know how many legs they have because they’re too tiny to tell, but they don’t bite or they haven’t bitten me anyways. in the light it kinda looks like they have orange stripes or dots along the body of it kinda like the white larva have.. i keep vacuuming and spraying my car and hundreds have died but there’s still those few that wont and its really grossing me out, does anyone have any idea or has anyone had a similar problem? im willing to try anything at this point

adding 2 actual pics of the bugs… one is the larva the other is the actual bug (extreme close up they are so tiny).. .any guesses?!?!?!

Spiders are attracted to the bugs in my room! HELP!?

I’m terrified of spiders. They seem to love me, however. They like to hang out in my shoes, they crawl into my bags (I once took a live spider on the bus, subway and to college in my bag without knowing it was there) and in particular, they seem to love my bedroom.

My shoes and my bags are always downstairs, and when the doors and windows are open, it’s no surprise that spiders make their way into your personal space. However, it worries me that they keep showing up in my bedroom. A few weeks ago I had a spider in my room…Yesterday I had one and then again today I had one.

I know that they’ll only hang around when there’s a food source. But, I don’t know what that food source could be! The webs they leave behind never have any flies in them and I never see bugs (other than the spiders) in my room. Could I be missing something? Just last week I vacuumed and dusted and wiped and thoroughly cleaned EVERYTHING. Didn’t stop the spider today and yesterday from coming in!

Any advice? :( My parents are getting sick of having to come in and catch spiders for me all the time.
I DON’T have bugs in my room…At least, I don’t THINK I do. Though, according to most people I must have bugs in my room otherwise the spiders wouldn’t stick around and I wouldn’t notice so many!

Upstairs neighbor's stuff on my patio?

At first I had to deal with the aftermath of an unsupervised toddler upstairs throwing food (namely Cheetos and watermelon), toys, and other garbage in between the wooden slats of their balcony and it would fall on my patio. Not a big deal but still not pleasant. Then they must have tossed vacuum cleaner dust all over the area hoping the wind would catch it (because why should they have to throw it away in a garbage can?), and it also graced my patio. After speaking with the apartment management, my husband found trash bags left in front of his truck the next day; I guess they thought it would be funny if he ran them over but he obviously saw the bags and moved them out of the way.

I’ve taken pictures and told the apartment management, who keep calling my upstairs neighbors who deny everything. Unfortunately management said I basically would need to see who did it as it actually happened. Today I woke up to find a couple beer cans and smirnoff bottles around my patio and broken glass in front of my car; no one else in the nearby apartments had this.

At this point, can the apartment legally enter the upstairs apartment to see if there’s any evidence left of the beer boxes or smirnoff? Also I’m not sure if I can buy an expensive security camera for the minimal chance of catching them in the act, but I honestly feel like throwing their crap back up on their patio or at their front door. Any suggestions? Has anyone else dealt with this before? I really like the community, it’s just the upstairs neighbors who are acting very ghetto.

thank you, but i looked up pics of the lycid beetle.. i don’t live in Australia and that’s where it says they’re from? haha also those are waaaaaaaay too big to be the bug im talking about. wayyyyy to big.. my bug is prolly 1/8 that size. also, i don’t think these are poisonous? they’ve never bitten me or anything of that sort. and when i say orange, the whole bug isn’t orange.. maybe a dot down the middle but not all of them have it. you can mostly only tell on the larva its a brownish orange dot/stripe down their back. thanks though :)
no im kinda scared to take out the back seat haha. ive had the car for a while, but when i bought the car it smelled awful, we figured it was just because of the water in the trunk? now it smells like the "black ice" car freshener and perfume lol but on really hot days i can smell that smell that the car had when i first bought it. my dad ripped up the carpet in my trunk, but weve never thought about in the back seat…. ewwh..
adding 2 actual pics of the bugs… one is the larva the other is the actual bug (extreme close up they are so tiny).. .any guesses?!?!?!

I vacuumed food, more specifically one corn kernel. Corn kernel containing moisture, I am wondering if I need to replace a vacuum bag. Any suggestion?

Thanks!
