How to Freeze Food Properly

Storing them correctly preserves taste and texture. To complete this How-To you will need: Masking tape Permanent marker Freezer-safe plastic bags and containers Heavy-duty aluminum foil Cookie sheets A vacuum-sealing machine Masking tape Permanent marker Freezer-safe plastic bags and containers Heavy-duty aluminum foil Cookie sheets A vacuum-sealing machine Step 1: Label foods Label foods before freezing so you will always know how old they are. Write the contents and date on a piece of masking tape with a permanent marker. Step 2: Know what not to freeze Don’t freeze lettuce, soft cheeses, puddings, sour cream, yogurt, or anything with mayonnaise. They’re perfectly safe to eat, but their taste and texture deteriorate too much to be appetizing. Raw egg whites can be frozen, but yolks tend to become thick, making it difficult to blend them with whites. Step 3: Freeze leftovers with care Put leftover pasta in a freezer bag and squeeze out all the air. For soup, line a bowl with foil, pour in the soup, cover and freeze it, and then remove it from the

    It’s strange how freezing dead people can be an innovative way to possibly bring them alive thousands of years later when technology can repair dead cells, OR it can be something that will get your 4 more life terms in jail, depending on how many legs you have in your freezer…

    I have eaten salmon that was frozen in water the day it was caught months later. It tasted still tasted great.

    best thing i ever bought for my kitchen was a sealing machine. Sure the bags cost money but I can premake meals and buy in bulk to save money. That and a deep freezer make mealtime easy.

    I think it’s so that your freezer doesn’t smell like fish. When you do freeze fish, the fish smell never goes away. I have like 4 fridges and they all smell like fish!
