I want to seal some hardware (not food) in bags made of plastic sheets, the thicker types with thickness 4-6 mil. I plan to use plastic sheets available at retail stores like Walmart, e.g. Husky clear plastic sheeting made with recycled plastic (used mainly for paint drape, the package does not say Polyethylene but I assume it is).
Are the plastic sheetings of this type basically all the same and made of Polyethylene, in terms of durability, strength, resistence to water, etc. Assume the same thickness in the range 4-6 mil. I do not need vacuuming inside the bag. Or should I chose some specific sheeting made for sealing bags?
