i think they’re brown recluse spiders (i’ve had to kill two), which freaks me out because their venomous and i have a kitten (well and because of me too, haha). it’s been pretty warm outside lately, like between 75 to 85 degrees everyday. I know insects are more of a problem during warmer seasons, but how do I keep these mother effers out of my apartment?! I vacuum every two days and I keep my apartment very tidy. I keep finding them crawling out from under my bed, which all I have under there is a storage bag full of purses. The reason they go under there is probably because its dark huh?
Anyway, I just want to know the safest way for me to keep these spiders out. I’ve heard of the powders, but never any brand names nor if they’re safe to use around animals. I’ve been spraying them, once I see them, with Windex (hahaahha!) because that’s all I have. I’m so nervous that the spiders may either bite one of us or my kitten will be harmed by any insecticide I may need to use. Help!

The space saver vacuum bags takes more finesse than the advertising says. I found bending down on the floor awkward during my video, so I recommend using a table or bed instead. Also try to fold the items flatly if you want to store under a bed. I needed mine to be rather boxy to fit in a long cabinet. For my purposes, I didn’t think the idea of vacuum bags that great because they are heavy and don’t bend once compressed. But if concerned about bug free bedding for next winter, then they’re good. These definitely sealed well which is vital to maintaining the compression (as opposed to cheaper bags)
This is a cool attachment for my food saver. It will pull a mason jar down to a vacuum.
I’m just curious. I must be nesting. I completely tore apart our bedroom Wed morning before my dr’s appt. Packing up winter clothes for storage, washing the new babies clothes, packed our bags for the hospital. I’m 34 weeks 4 days now. I just came in from trimming the hedges with the electric hedge clipper! It was really hot so I was only out there 15 mins but I felt like I could be out there all day. I came in to cool off even though I REALLY didn’t want to. My DD came at 36 wks 5 days and they think this one will be about the same time. I didn’t nest this hard with her. I planted some small bushes right a few days before she was born. I’ve also had a bad pregnancy still taking Zofran every morning for nausea. I’ve had no energy and have been taking it pretty easy these last few weeks because I started with contractions at 30wks & they stopped them. I have no idea where this energy is coming from. I really, really want to go vacuum and wash my car!I know I will pay for it later if I do, and my DH just might kill me. ![]()
