How much is TOO much salt for a dog/dogs?

I do not EVER feed my dogs table scraps. I am so overly funny about their food I make sure if I eat chocolate – I vacuum after wards. I understand everything that is toxic to dogs but have read salt (in large amounts) can cause excessive drinking/urinating (obviously) and blood pressure going up and coma etc. I’m hoping they mean in HUGE amounts. I’m worried b/c we just bought a new bag (50 pound bag) of food and today I tripped and spilled salt in the bag. You can actually SEE the salt stuck to the food. I guess I’ll have to scoop out the top of the food and toss it. But do you think enough sunk down in there to hurt them? I’ve seen many dogs eating chips, pretzels, cheetos and fries and never bothered them. Thoughts?

Moving with bed bugs?

My husband and I have lived in this apartment for about a year and started finding bites on our skin after our neighbor moved in. We had the landlord call someone to inspect our apartment and couldn’t find anything. The inspector then asked to see the neighbors unit and long behold, they were literally covered over the walls. They were crawling under the carpet to access our apartment. The exterminator has been here about 4 times now and my neighbor still has the problem. I put duct tape all around the wall and carpet so they cannot enter. We were sleeping on the floor surrounded by duct tape and caught two bugs. After the last extermination I only found one bug alive and have not found any more on the tape. We want to get the hell out of here and have the concern of bringing them with us. We are going to stay at my parents, double bag clothing and blankets to wash them, and put our stuff in a storage unit until we can find a new place. The exterminator can’t come back again until the time we need to be out of apartment, we gave our notice. My question is if I vacuum everything, put it loosely in a box, and spray the bed bug spray all over some furniture, does it really work? Then leave the bigger furniture here and after exterminator comes, put it with the rest in storage and let off a fogger? We already had to throw away couch and not looking to throw out any more items unless absolutely necessary. Could this help solve our bed bug fiasco? Has anyone else been through this situation? Thanks in advance!!!

Cockroachs and clothing?

So I live in the dorms at school (they were built in the 60′s) and I live on the 6th floor (not that elevation helps with cockroaches). I like to think I (and my roommate) are fairly clean persons: we vacuum my room weekly, all food is in rubbermaid tubs and sealed off. I have recently discovered cockroaches in the room (small ones thank god) and the school is coming to spay and bait for them in our room. My question is what to do with the clothes and bedding. If these pests have laid eggs will simply washing them work to kill them? We have decided to throw out the rugs we have in the room along with the curtains and fabric wall coverings. But I can’t afford to throw out all my clothing here or my jackets. What do i need to do about books and things like that will they need to be pitched also? Any helpful advice would be appreciated

Should potato chip bags be reduced in size?

Self explanatory. Could be potato chip OR any type of food held in bags.

I’ll use the potato chip example. It kind of stinks to have pumped up bag of chips with only a few pieces of chips. Is all that empty space needed? I’m serious. If all that vacuum is totally necessary and essential, then please do skip the bottom and help me understand why it is needed.

A reduction in its size would help:
- less pollution
- help companies saves some money by less sizable bags
- they can’t fool the quantity of the food by adding some air

True they need big bags for commercial means but they should put their differences aside and focus on the good of the environment. It is a win-win-win situation for buyer, seller, and nature in a way if you think about it.

Can I still eat food if it's been thawed at room temp?

I have some pulled pork that a friend vacuum sealed and froze for me. I took it out of the freezer, put on a plate and accidentally left it on the kitchen counter for about 8 hours. When I got back from work I realized I never put it in the fridge. The wrapping is still sealed, never opened. Is it still safe to eat?

how do you discipline a extremely unruly cat?

I got my cat as a kitten from a barn and he was a wild cat. Now hes 8 months old and the rudest cat ever, He finds his food bag and rips it up, he climbs over everything, he claws the couches, drinks out of the fish bowl, randomly attacks people and bites and climbs in bathtubs and sinks with water running, rips open the garbage… i could go on and on. And what’s worse nothing scares him nothing even phases him, i tried water spray that doesn’t work he LOVES water, saying NO to him doesn’t even phase him, loud noises don’t scare him not even the vacuum. and if he climbs on stuff i’ll make him get down but he just jumps back up. I’m not going to put him outside because there are stray cats that live around us that would beat him up and it’s very cold out. This cat has no manners what can i do?!
No he’s not fixed right now but he’s going to be soon.
He is completely un-responsive to catnip, but he does have treats and that’s usually how i get his attention away from whatever bad things he’s doing. But i think that whenever he gets treats he’s being rewarded? and he loves toys especially his cat wand lol he has 3 scratching posts that he ignores. Does putting them in a crate help at all? I’ve done it a couple times but he usually screams so loud that i have to let him out.

Can someone suggest a particular product for vacuum storing a large quantity of peanuts?

I sell roasted peanuts and buy 25 kilos at a time, I would like them to last longer so need another way of storing them. They come vacuum packed in a plastic sack, its dimensions are about 100x50x25 cm. I would like to mimic this once i have opened it.
I have looked for a product but cannot find one, please help someone!
Can be a container or a bag.
Must be food safe.
Im guessing I want a similar product to Pack Mate Volume Storage Bags, but i dont know if they are food safe.
the bigger the better!!

If you feed and shelter the rodents won't you be up to your knees in them?

The first step in getting rid of house mice is to stop feeding them. Mice are in your home because they enjoy the shelter and food it has to offer. So, in order to eliminate the food source, you will have to keep food in sealed containers and clean up your house. Get out the vacuum and suck up all the crumbs on the floor, in the couch, under the furniture, and anywhere else food may have been left. Pet food is another major source of mouse food. Try only feeding the pets what they will eat in a sitting. If they get a little hungry, maybe they will start going after the mice.
In order to keep the mice out of the house, you will have to mouse-proof your home. Mouse-proofing inside your house is a waste of time if they can still get in from the outside. Walk around the exterior of your home looking for holes, cracks, and other possible entry points. Use a combination of steel wool and sealant to keep the mice from getting back in through any holes you find. Don’t forget to look under roof eaves as well. Also, make sure any ventilation covers have holes too small for mice to get through—½ inch or less. Make sure all exterior doors have a tight fit with no empty space underneath. While you’re outside, make sure the garbage bin has a secured lid and that no garbage is laying around for the mice to eat.
